An unexpectedly hard shot by Yiğit Haşmetli in the 16th minute of play forced Samsunspor SK2011's goalkeeper Ergincan Sahadettin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Yiğit Haşmetli hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. Yiğit Haşmetli might have been able to make a better finish in the 27th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ergincan Sahadettin. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

With a couple of smart ball manuevers Görkem Baloğlu in the 95th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ergincan Sahadettin saved Samsunspor SK2011 from getting behind. Indiana University's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
