The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Kjell Wennerquist took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 8th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Sixten Dahlgren. Frogner's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Ivar Carlberg might have been able to make a better finish in the 20th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Elliot Wallengren. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ivar Carlberg ran back to his position shaking his head. Ivar Carlberg recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 23rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Frogner's Thor Edström got a good chance for a goal in the 24th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 26 minutes into the match, Frogner's goal looked a bit too open when Max Ahlroth came free, but Sixten Dahlgren reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Östen Gunnarsson succeeded in the game's 27th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 1-0. 32 minutes into the match, Östen Gunnarsson had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Elliot Wallengren. Team North Invest's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Östen Gunnarsson was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. In the 43rd match minute, Team North Invest was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Thomas Wahlström to maneuver through the defense. Through an outstanding action, after 44 minutes, Elliot Wallengren successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

Team North Invest's Jens Lindmark was substituted for Nils-Åke Holmberg. Team North Invest made a substitution. Anders Pettersson replaced Birger Forssberg. Elliot Wallengren came out of the goal and Östen Gunnarsson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some careless play in the Team North Invest defense, Viktor Stigsson kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Elliot Wallengren. The Team North Invest fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Elliot Wallengren should have stopped the shot. Thanks to some nice moves Anders Pettersson could shoot a difficult shot in the 70th minute, which Sixten Dahlgren however easily saved by the left post. When Thomas Wahlström fell near the penalty area in the 74th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Team North Invest's protests and gave Thomas Wahlström a yellow card for diving instead. Thomas Wahlström hit a great freekick 74 minutes into the match. Frogner's Adrian Sikström was substituted for Allan Kilstedt. The supporters of Frogner booed when Team North Invest was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 78 match minutes in a wonderful position. Anders Pettersson didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 81 minutes, Dag Nordlander managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Frogner's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dag Nordlander was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 92 minutes of play, Frogner's Östen Gunnarsson made it 4-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Elliot Wallengren was left in no man's land by his defense there! There was no doubt that Frogner were the better team. Frogner's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
