In the 2nd minute, one of Piratas FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Piratas FC. Angelo Rolado charged in rather forcefully in the 5th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Angelo Rolado the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 14th minute Konstantin Butylin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Raimond Lenk saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Gladiator FC fans' excitement grew in the 15th match minute when Gladiator FC's Konstantin Butylin looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. When Konstantin Butylin came up free with the goalie in the 22nd minute, the Gladiator FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Konstantin Butylin couldn't finish the play. In the 25th minute Konstantin Butylin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Raimond Lenk saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 25th minute, Konstantin Butylin made a precise shot to the right of Raimond Lenk. Piratas FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-3. Luisão Tepedino was slow to take the kick. During this time Gladiator FC's players had a chance to rest. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Piratas FC's goalie and right to Felice Tiberio. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Piratas FC's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Carlo Taranto in the 35th minute of play forced Piratas FC's goalkeeper Raimond Lenk to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Gladiator FC fans' excitement grew in the 37th match minute when Gladiator FC's Konstantin Butylin looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-4 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. The audience was convinced that Konstantin Butylin's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Raimond Lenk was relentless in the 43rd minute of the game. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-4 lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Konstantin Butylin to strike the kick off in the second half. After 51 minutes Piratas FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Luisão Tepedino who took care of the corner kick. Raimond Lenk showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luisão Tepedino, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. Gladiator FC's Carlo Taranto shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 57th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Raimond Lenk but with some difficulty. In the 58th minute Luisão Tepedino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Raimond Lenk saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Konstantin Butylin's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 59thth minute, Raimond Lenk skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. In the 63rd minute, Konstantin Butylin left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Gladiator FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-5. Gladiator FC's Carlo Taranto got a good chance for a goal in the 67th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Gladiator FC made a substitution. Waldir de Carvalho replaced Sandu Flintașu. With a little luck, Piratas FC's Raimond Lenk got control of the ball when Konstantin Butylin tried to sneak it across the goal line. Raimond Lenk showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luisão Tepedino, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. Piratas FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 80th minute, when Luisão Tepedino scored to the left of an out of position Raimond Lenk, making the score, 0-6. Through an outstanding action, after 84 minutes, Raimond Lenk successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. After a rather tough play, Piratas FC's Ernesto Itzaina got a free kick in the 89th minute. In the 91st minute of the match Gladiator FC got a corner. Piratas FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Luisão Tepedino ran over to the corner to take the kick. The Gladiator FC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Gladiator FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
