With an all-out effort, Valencia Santa Fe's Anselmo Facchetti threw himself towards the right post 21 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Ulrico Herzog, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Merceron United's Anselmo Facchetti played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Felipe Inocente in the 23rd minute of play. Merceron United's Anselmo Facchetti proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 25th minute of the match, managed to save Merceron United from getting a goal against them. A collision led to Merceron United getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Despite this Jeronimo Dantel quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Merceron United's Anselmo Facchetti played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Felipe Inocente in the 43rd minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Felipe Inocente kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Anselmo Facchetti. That made the score 1-1 in the 44 minute of play.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ulrico Herzog made a kick off. The corner ended in Milosz Waselenczuk almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Valencia Santa Fe's Jeronimo Dantel did a great save. Merceron United's Ettore Conte was substituted for Dinei Fernandez. In the 58th minute, Robustiano Beat hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Merceron United's Anselmo Facchetti played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Felipe Inocente in the 64th minute of play. The Merceron United players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
