Symba's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FC Inter Sibiu the free kick. After a rather tough play, Symba's Khaled Chérif got a free kick in the 8th minute. Anis Achour showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Filip Fikus, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. If Pompiliu Cordescu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to FC Inter Sibiu getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Lucrețiu Hrib hit a great ball. 17 minutes into the match, Symba's goal looked a bit too open when Emīls Umbrass came free, but Anis Achour reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 21st minute Emīls Umbrass shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Anis Achour saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dragoş Bitang sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Sebastián Sosa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gus Wootton in the 26th minute of play. Emīls Umbrass received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Anis Achour tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 29th minute Pompiliu Cordescu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Anis Achour saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Anis Achour took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Emīls Umbrass, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, FC Inter Sibiu's Dragoş Bitang got a free kick in the 30th minute. 32 minutes into the game, FC Inter Sibiu's Frank Melis nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Anis Achour made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. In the 34th minute Emīls Umbrass shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Anis Achour saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Emīls Umbrass recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 39th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 42 played minutes Symba got a freekick which was hit by Imed Akid. Anis Achour took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pompiliu Cordescu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The Symba players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. FC Inter Sibiu were winning 0-1.

Symba made a substitution. Sílvio Veiga replaced Khaled Chérif. The wind increased when Pompiliu Cordescu made the kick off in the second half. Anis Achour showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Emīls Umbrass, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. Symba were furious when Muhammad Bejaoui was red carded, 59 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. Symba:s Anis Achour showed great skill when he stopped Filip Fikus:s penalty. In the 62nd minute, Tomás San Juan ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Sebastián Sosa was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. In the 64th minute, Sílvio Veiga got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. A collision led to Symba getting a freekick after 66 minutes play. Gus Wootton hit a great ball. With a little luck, Symba's Anis Achour got control of the ball when Frank Melis tried to sneak it across the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Frank Melis got free with Anis Achour in the 69th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Anis Achour made a fantastic save in the 72nd minute, when Frank Melis sent off a good shot on target. The crowd rose to their feet as FC Inter Sibiu's Emīls Umbrass slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Anis Achour. That made the score 1-2 after 73 minutes of play. The audience was convinced that Sílvio Veiga's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Sebastián Sosa was relentless in the 78th minute of the game. Anis Achour took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Emīls Umbrass, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a little luck, Symba's Anis Achour got control of the ball when Emīls Umbrass tried to sneak it across the goal line. The supporters of FC Inter Sibiu booed when Symba was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mondher Ghodbane didn't get a good kick on the ball. FC Inter Sibiu's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
