A collision led to SAN LORENZO FC getting a freekick after 8 minutes play. Rafael Tiniebra hit a great ball. Dario Astigar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Stelian Murgu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Dario Astigar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Well-Well Benne in the 13th minute of play. 13 minutes into the match, SAN LORENZO FC's goal looked a bit too open when Well-Well Benne came free, but Dario Astigar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Lisandro Nuñez received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Ovidiu Caranfil came out and tried to block the shot, but Lisandro Nuñez slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 18th minute. Stelian Murgu struck a weak shot in the 21st minute. Dario Astigar didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Club Vertigo. 23 minutes into the match, Lisandro Nuñez dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Ovidiu Caranfil, 2-0. Ovidiu Caranfil made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lisandro Nuñez in the 26th minute of play. After some careless play in the SAN LORENZO FC defense, Stelian Murgu kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Dario Astigar. The SAN LORENZO FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Dario Astigar should have stopped the shot. In the 37th minute Lisandro Nuñez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ovidiu Caranfil saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Club Vertigo's Ovidiu Caranfil proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 38th minute of the match, managed to save Club Vertigo from getting a goal against them. Ovidiu Caranfil made a fantastic save in the 40th minute, when Lisandro Nuñez sent off a good shot on target. A collision led to Club Vertigo getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Ysmael Celerain hit a great ball. The supporters of Club Vertigo booed when SAN LORENZO FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lisandro Lopez didn't get a good kick on the ball. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Well-Well Benne stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Ovidiu Caranfil made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lisandro Nuñez in the 52nd minute of play. If Emilian Moți had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 59 minutes into the match, SAN LORENZO FC's goalkeeper Dario Astigar had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Stelian Murgu. In the 62nd minute Lisandro Nuñez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ovidiu Caranfil saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With an all-out effort, Club Vertigo's Dario Astigar threw himself towards the right post 67 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Well-Well Benne, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. 68 minutes into the match, SAN LORENZO FC's Lisandro Nuñez sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ovidiu Caranfil narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Lisandro Nuñez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 74th minute Well-Well Benne shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dario Astigar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. SAN LORENZO FC's Dario Astigar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Well-Well Benne in the 75th minute of play. When Well-Well Benne fell near the penalty area in the 77th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Club Vertigo's protests and gave Well-Well Benne a yellow card for diving instead. SAN LORENZO FC made a substitution. Ciriaco Cordarrell replaced Lisandro Nuñez. In the 78th match minute, Club Vertigo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Well-Well Benne to maneuver through the defense. In the 79thth minute of the game Ciriaco Cordarrell who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Club Vertigo's Ovidiu Caranfil was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Well-Well Benne received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Dario Astigar tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Dario Astigar showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Well-Well Benne in the 83rd minute of the match. In the 83rd minute, Well-Well Benne ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Dario Astigar was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-2.
