An unexpectedly hard shot by Bertold Gyurkovics in the 13th minute of play forced CD Municipal's goalkeeper George Forsyth to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. George Forsyth showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Willi Orbán in the 22nd minute of the match. George Forsyth showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bertold Gyurkovics, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. Enrique Cassaretto's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Fülöp Magos read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 25th minute of play. Martino Armona made a great header on CD Municipal's corner, it was just that TUSE's Fülöp Magos managed to reach the ball for a save. In the 29th minute, CD Municipal's Yunus Mahşer seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Yunus Mahşer the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of CD Municipal protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Yunus Mahşer had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In a very dangerous position, a player in CD Municipal fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 28th minute. Penalty! George Forsyth had in the 31stth minute some difficulties stopping Ferenc Szőllőssy's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his right side, but he still managed to hold the ball 31 minutes into the game, TUSE's Ferenc Szőllőssy nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. George Forsyth made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. A hard shot 36 in the game by Krisztián Bartha from a close distance when the talented George Forsyth managed to make a qualified save. CD Municipal's players were relieved. With a little luck, CD Municipal's George Forsyth got control of the ball when Géza Tímár tried to sneak it across the goal line. 39 minutes into the game, Krisztián Bartha cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. George Forsyth was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Af the end of the first half the score was 4-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The wind increased when Krisztián Bartha made the kick off in the second half. In the 55th minute Bertold Gyurkovics shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but George Forsyth saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. George Forsyth didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Géza Tímár went, in the 58th minute, to the upper right corner, 5-0 was the resulting score. CD Municipal's Tulio Andinyach was substituted for Evtim Kúrdzhev. CD Municipal's Peter Haber was substituted for Aureliano Buendia. In the 65th minute, Géza Tímár made a precise shot to the right of George Forsyth. CD Municipal's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 6-0. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Krisztián Bartha in the 69th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg George Forsyth saved CD Municipal from getting behind. 71 minutes into the match, CD Municipal's goal looked a bit too open when Bertold Gyurkovics came free, but George Forsyth reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some careless play in the CD Municipal defense, Bertold Gyurkovics kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of George Forsyth. The CD Municipal fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that George Forsyth should have stopped the shot. TUSE's Olivér Bagi was substituted for Árpád Gyarmathy.
