With an extended leg and a bit of luck Tomás Maule prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Tomás Maule made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rui Trancoso in the 16th minute of play. After 17 minutes, Eustaquio Tiadoro made it 1-0 with a short kick to the right side. S. E. Palestra's Hugo Cerezo tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Hugo Cerezo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eustaquio Tiadoro in the 20th minute of the match. In the 21st minute, Bendito Sea El Fernet's Mario Tipi ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Hugo Cerezo. Hugo Cerezo yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-0. S. E. Palestra's Hugo Cerezo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 24th minute of the match, managed to save S. E. Palestra from getting a goal against them. Eustaquio Tiadoro could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 26th minute of the match, but Hugo Cerezo made a huge save. The crowd rose to their feet as Eustaquio Tiadoro kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Hugo Cerezo. That made the score 3-0 in the 29 minute of play. In the 32nd minute, Mario Tipi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Eustaquio Tiadoro received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Hugo Cerezo came out and tried to block the shot, but Eustaquio Tiadoro slotted it home off the left post making it 4-0 in the 34th minute. Hugo Cerezo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Anacleto Franco, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. In the 37th minute, Eustaquio Tiadoro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Hugo Cerezo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Wilfredo Igon in the 40th minute. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 6-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Eustaquio Tiadoro stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Hugo Cerezo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marcial Rosio in the 56th minute of the match. S. E. Palestra's Hugo Cerezo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eustaquio Tiadoro in the 59th minute of play. After 59 played minutes Bendito Sea El Fernet got a freekick which was hit by Baldomiro Guerrero. 62 minutes into the match, Marcial Rosio notched a goal, 8-0, to the right of S. E. Palestra's Hugo Cerezo. Hugo Cerezo was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eustaquio Tiadoro in the 66th minute of play forced S. E. Palestra's goalkeeper Hugo Cerezo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Palestra fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Hugo Cerezo should have stopped the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eustaquio Tiadoro in the 83rd minute of play forced S. E. Palestra's goalkeeper Hugo Cerezo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. S. E. Palestra's Hugo Cerezo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eustaquio Tiadoro in the 84th minute of play. Palestra got a freekick which was hit by Antônio Fonseca. There was no doubt that Bendito Sea El Fernet were the better team. Bendito Sea El Fernet's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
