When Fausto Mendonça came up free with the goalie in the 3rd minute, the Scarlet Speedster fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fausto Mendonça couldn't finish the play. 7 minutes into the match, Scarlet Speedster's goal looked a bit too open when Augusto Saldanha came free, but Naldo Proença reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 8 minutes Scarlet Speedster's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Şamil Sağman who took care of the corner kick. Gracie Barra's Şamil Sağman was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Naldo Proença in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Falcão Cunha made an important save on a dangerous shot by Fausto Mendonça in the 10th minute. Naldo Proença made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Augusto Saldanha in the 14th minute of play. Naldo Proença came out of the goal in the 18th minute to try and stop a shot by Gracie Barra's Pedro Velloso. But to his dismay, Pedro Velloso quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. In the 23rd minute, Augusto Saldanha left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Gracie Barra fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. In the 25th minute, Pedro Velloso got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Augusto Saldanha sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Scarlet Speedster's Naldo Proença played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Augusto Saldanha in the 31st minute of play. In the 36th minute Pedro Velloso shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Naldo Proença saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 47thth minute of the game Augusto Saldanha who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Scarlet Speedster's Naldo Proença was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

Scarlet Speedster's Virgílio Perez was substituted for Fausto Mendonça. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Virgílio Perez made a kick off. Naldo Proença showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Augusto Saldanha, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. Falcão Cunha took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edward Krzynowek, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Scarlet Speedster's Naldo Proença proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 57th minute of the match, managed to save Scarlet Speedster from getting a goal against them. Falcão Cunha was left in no man's land by his defense there! Falcão Cunha showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edward Krzynowek in the 84th minute of the match. In the 86th minute of the match, Snorri De Hond got a very nice opportunity to score, but Naldo Proença was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. After 87 minutes Scarlet Speedster's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Şamil Sağman who took care of the corner kick. After taking down the ball on Gracie Barra's corner Şamil Sağman fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Naldo Proença quite easily take care of the ball. The attack was good, but when Hugo de Queirós in the 87th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Virgílio Perez in the 89th minute of play forced Gracie Barra's goalkeeper Falcão Cunha to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 94th minute, Snorri De Hond managed to get in a good position for a shot. Gracie Barra's supporters rose to their feet, but Snorri De Hond was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Naldo Proença breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Gracie Barra's Falcão Cunha played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Virgílio Perez in the 97th minute of play. A collision led to Scarlet Speedster getting a freekick after 98 minutes play. Tomas Wallin hit a great ball. Gracie Barra's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
