Jairo Malheiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Marciano Panpili showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jairo Malheiro, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. After 24 minutes, Pascual Estevon mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Trocha Media FC and the Ciudad Tao FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Trocha Media FC. Marciano Panpili had in the 40thth minute some difficulties stopping Jairo Malheiro's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Marciano Panpili took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Osmar Goiano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ciudad Tao FC were awarded a corner in the 44th minute after Trocha Media FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Alonzo Hermansson took the corner. A nice corner shot did that Alonzo Hermansson got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Marciano Panpili quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. In the 47th minute Jairo Malheiro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marciano Panpili saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After the first half Ciudad Tao FC were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Trocha Media FC's Santos Ruy was substituted for Olgierd Zacharczyk. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half.
