The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Karl Österberg was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 15 minutes into the match, Jari Alenius notched a goal, 0-3, to the right of Leopard Brööö's Karl Österberg. Karl Österberg was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 19th minute, Jari Alenius got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When the match had gone on for 22 minutes, Jari Alenius put it in 0-4 from a short distance just to the right of Karl Österberg. In the 27th minute, Jari Alenius ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Karl Österberg was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-5. 30 minutes into the game, Jari Alenius cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-6. Karl Österberg was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Jari Alenius scored 0-7 in the 38th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Karl Österberg, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Karl Österberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jari Alenius, who was totally free with the ball in the 48th minute. After the first half NAGANO F.C were leading 0-7. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Jari Alenius made the kick off in the second half. Leopard Brööö's Karl Österberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jari Alenius in the 57th minute of play. Karl Österberg stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jari Alenius's shot from short distance in the 58th minute. Diego Beckenbauer made a great header on NAGANO F.C's corner, it was just that Leopard Brööö's Karl Österberg managed to reach the ball for a save. Jari Alenius scored 0-9 in the 63rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Karl Österberg, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 65th minute, Ariel Ortega fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Karl Österberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jari Alenius, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. NAGANO F.C were awarded a corner in the 71th minute after Leopard Brööö's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Clodoveo Weather took the corner. Leopard Brööö's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jari Alenius was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-10. The supporters of Leopard Brööö booed when NAGANO F.C was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 81 match minutes in a wonderful position. Diego Beckenbauer didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the match had gone on for 83 minutes, Gabriel Batistuta put it in 0-12 from a short distance just to the right of Karl Österberg. After some fancy dribbling in the 86th minute, Ariel Ortega managed to get in a good position for a shot. NAGANO F.C's supporters rose to their feet, but Ariel Ortega was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Karl Österberg breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Gabriel Batistuta could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 87th minute of the match, but Karl Österberg made a huge save. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gabriel Batistuta in the 90th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Karl Österberg prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Gabriel Batistuta sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Karl Österberg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gabriel Batistuta in the 92nd minute of the match. With a little luck, Leopard Brööö's Karl Österberg got control of the ball when Gabriel Batistuta tried to sneak it across the goal line. NAGANO F.C played a much better game than Leopard Brööö and deserved their victory. The Leopard Brööö players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
