AS Monaco FC's Mieszko Fujara shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 44th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Virgilio Sotil but with some difficulty. With a little luck, Villa Mitre's Virgilio Sotil got control of the ball when Jairo Guifre tried to sneak it across the goal line.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Gaspar Mateo made a kick off. Virgilio Sotil made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jairo Guifre in the 72nd minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jairo Guifre in the 75th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Virgilio Sotil saved Villa Mitre from getting behind. When the match had gone on for 75 minutes, Jairo Guifre put it in 6-0 from a short distance just to the right of Virgilio Sotil. Roch Puch took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Godfredo Haritz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 79th minute Jairo Guifre shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Virgilio Sotil saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 83 minutes into the match, Jairo Guifre notched a goal, 7-0, to the right of Villa Mitre's Virgilio Sotil. Virgilio Sotil was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it.
