Guido Luzaide was slow to take the kick. During this time Vélez Juniors's players had a chance to rest. Hans Curtis made an important save on a dangerous shot by Nicolas Roland in the 8th minute. 11 minutes into the match, Vélez Juniors's Nicolas Roland sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Hans Curtis narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Hans Curtis didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Nicolas Roland went, in the 14th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Cristian Naike in the 18th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Hans Curtis saved VN FC Spartak-Varna from getting behind. Vélez Juniors's Elpidio Vitin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ademar Cabral in the 26th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Zbigniew Paraszczuk in the 28th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Elpidio Vitin prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Nicolas Roland struck a weak shot in the 30th minute. Hans Curtis didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Vélez Juniors. Hans Curtis was a little too slow when Nicolas Roland got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 37th minute. The score was now 2-0. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Yancho Motev during the 44th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. 44 minutes into the game, one of VN FC Spartak-Varna:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Nicolas Roland placed the ball on the penalty spot and got himself ready to shoot. Post out! No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

Nicolas Roland scored 4-0 in the 71st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Hans Curtis, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 76 minutes into the match, Vélez Juniors's goalkeeper Elpidio Vitin had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Peter Boklund. Hans Curtis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nicolas Roland in the 78th minute of the match. 81 minutes into the game, Nicolas Roland cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 5-0. Hans Curtis was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Nicolas Roland blasted a shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Hans Curtis having to make a save. 88 minutes into the match, VN FC Spartak-Varna's goal looked a bit too open when Nicolas Roland came free, but Hans Curtis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 90th minute the ball was on its way in behind VN FC Spartak-Varna's goalkeeper Hans Curtis, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 91st minute of the match Vélez Juniors got a corner. VN FC Spartak-Varna's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Guido Luzaide ran over to the corner to take the kick. After taking down the ball on Vélez Juniors's corner Guido Luzaide fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Hans Curtis quite easily take care of the ball. VN FC Spartak-Varna's Hans Curtis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nicolas Roland in the 94th minute of play. Vélez Juniors's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
