In the 7th minute of the match, Lance Veloz got a very nice opportunity to score, but Lev Yashin was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. In the 8th minute Tomás Angel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hugo Orlando Gatti saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Conjunto Paisa getting a freekick after 11 minutes play. Fix Zubiaur hit a great ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Cecilio Tristan got free with Lev Yashin in the 17th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 21 minutes into the match, Conjunto Paisa's goal looked a bit too open when Rene Sanson came free, but Lev Yashin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some careless play in the Conjunto Paisa defense, Lance Veloz kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Lev Yashin. The Conjunto Paisa fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Lev Yashin should have stopped the shot. Hugo Orlando Gatti took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fix Zubiaur, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tomás Angel in the 39th minute of play forced Abuba Akotonon FC's goalkeeper Hugo Orlando Gatti to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lev Yashin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cecilio Tristan in the 41st minute of the match. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Cecilio Tristan to strike the kick off in the second half. Lance Veloz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 51st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Cecilio Tristan in the 53rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Lev Yashin prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The supporters of Abuba Akotonon FC booed when Conjunto Paisa was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ke Hui Kuan didn't get a good kick on the ball. Harriet Basabe hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. A collision led to Abuba Akotonon FC getting a freekick after 61 minutes play. Robt Paulet hit a great ball. In the 65th minute, Freddy Roig hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cecilio Tristan in the 78th minute of play forced Conjunto Paisa's goalkeeper Lev Yashin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 79 minutes into the match, Abuba Akotonon FC's goalkeeper Hugo Orlando Gatti had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Tomás Angel. Hugo Orlando Gatti took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Harriet Basabe, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Conjunto Paisa's Lev Yashin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lance Veloz in the 82nd minute of play. Hugo Orlando Gatti showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tomás Angel, who was totally free with the ball in the 84th minute. After 88 played minutes Conjunto Paisa got a freekick which was hit by Freddy Roig. Abuba Akotonon FC made a substitution. Emiliano Enol replaced Cecilio Tristan. There was no doubt that Abuba Akotonon FC were the better team. Abuba Akotonon FC's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
