In the 9th minute Bernard Lemiesz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Carlos Baptista saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 11 minutes into the match, Legia Warszawa's goal looked a bit too open when Ersen Bumba came free, but Zenon Pleban reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 14 minutes had been played when some careless play by Legia Warszawa's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Şafak Uysal was slow to take the kick. During this time ЧΙ ƝƖ̇ƘƠMЄƊƖ̇ƛ ƑƘ's players had a chance to rest. An unexpectedly hard shot by Karol Tomiczek in the 66th minute of play forced ЧΙ ƝƖ̇ƘƠMЄƊƖ̇ƛ ƑƘ's goalkeeper Carlos Baptista to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. ЧΙ ƝƖ̇ƘƠMЄƊƖ̇ƛ ƑƘ's Emre Mor was substituted for Atilla Tarkan Ulgu.
