The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Karl-Oskar Månsson hit a great freekick 4 minutes into the match. The long shot by Ciro Incendio in the 4th minute really tested Jimmy Lundin's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. The crowd rose to their feet as Ove Salkvist kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Jimmy Lundin. That made the score 1-0 in the 8 minute of play. 11 minutes into the match, Ove Salkvist dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Jimmy Lundin, 2-0. 14 minutes into the match, Järbo's goal looked a bit too open when Ove Salkvist came free, but Jimmy Lundin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee felt a red card was in order, 18 minutes into the game, when Ahmet Tolga Fidan put in a rough tackle. In a very dangerous position, a player in Järbo fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 18th minute. Penalty! Jimmy Lundin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ove Salkvist, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jimmy Lundin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ove Salkvist in the 23rd minute of play. 27 minutes into the match, BK Gubbhöft's Ove Salkvist sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jimmy Lundin narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 29th match minute, Järbo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bengt-Rune Wennerlund to maneuver through the defense. Järbo's Jimmy Lundin proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 36th minute of the match, managed to save Järbo from getting a goal against them. BK Gubbhöft's Isaac Jonasson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sven-Arne Markusson in the 40th minute of play. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Niclas Modig stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Niclas Modig kicked well hit freekick during the 53rd minute of the match. Sten Hydén scored 5-0 in the 64th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jimmy Lundin, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. BK Gubbhöft's Hans-Georg Luabunnum was substituted for Ove Salkvist. BK Gubbhöft's Agne Billing was substituted for Per Söderberg. In the 70th minute, Niclas Modig hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jimmy Lundin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hans-Georg Luabunnum in the 72nd minute of play. When BK Gubbhöft's Hans-Georg Luabunnum in the 75th minute got a chance for a shot 75th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hans-Georg Luabunnum in the 84th minute of play forced Järbo's goalkeeper Jimmy Lundin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Hans-Georg Luabunnum took the ball and in the 87 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jimmy Lundin. Jimmy Lundin dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 6-0. In the 90th minute Hans-Georg Luabunnum shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jimmy Lundin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
