But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Aldo Di Biagio couldn't finish the play. In the 10th match minute, FC Catalonia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kazimierz Gaszynski to maneuver through the defense. If Aquiles Gana had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. FC Catalonia's Cedrick Francoeur played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aquiles Gana in the 12th minute of play. 14 minutes into the match, AC Morena's Aquiles Gana sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Cedrick Francoeur narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 17th minute, Aquiles Gana left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The AC Morena fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. Aquiles Gana blasted a shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Cedrick Francoeur having to make a save. Aquiles Gana recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 24th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Cedrick Francoeur showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aquiles Gana in the 28th minute of the match. Jairo Asteguieta took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Czeslaw Piczak, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Cedrick Francoeur showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aquiles Gana, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. Angelo Jenaro struck a weak shot in the 40th minute. Jairo Asteguieta didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC Catalonia. Jairo Asteguieta made an important save on a dangerous shot by Angelo Jenaro in the 42nd minute. 43 minutes into the match, AC Morena's goal looked a bit too open when Han Wei Yuan came free, but Jairo Asteguieta reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jairo Asteguieta made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Angelo Jenaro in the 45th minute of play.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Aquiles Gana to make the kick off. FC Catalonia's defense didn't have a chance, in the 54th minute, when Aquiles Gana scored to the left of an out of position Cedrick Francoeur, making the score, 0-3. Aquiles Gana received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Cedrick Francoeur came out and tried to block the shot, but Aquiles Gana slotted it home off the left post making it 0-4 in the 57th minute. After 61 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for FC Catalonia! The goalkeeper, Cedrick Francoeur, was totally fooled by AC Morena's Aquiles Gana, who 62 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. In the 65th match minute, AC Morena was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aldo Di Biagio to maneuver through the defense. In the 66th minute, Aldo Di Biagio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 67 played minutes, FC Catalonia's Şinasi Ahioğlu shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Jairo Asteguieta came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in FC Catalonia reached it. Aquiles Gana could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 72nd minute of the match, but Cedrick Francoeur made a huge save. After having played for 82 minutes, Aquiles Gana managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. AC Morena's supporters crossed their fingers, but Aquiles Gana was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Cedrick Francoeur made an important save on a dangerous shot by Aquiles Gana in the 84th minute. 86 minutes into the match, FC Catalonia's goalkeeper Cedrick Francoeur had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Aquiles Gana. Jairo Asteguieta took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Angelo Jenaro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
