Uetendorf Wanderers's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Birvan Spor Kulübü the free kick. After a defensive mix-up in Birvan Spor Kulübü's zone, Özcan Balcik stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Henry de Vries came out of the goal and Özcan Balcik tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 35 minutes in the game, the ball went up into the seats when Uetendorf Wanderers's Martin Rutsch fired away a shot that was just a little bit too high. He walked away shaking his head. Giorgos Papaiakovou hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. Birvan Spor Kulübü's Henry de Vries played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Martin Rutsch in the 41st minute of play. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Yüksel Refah to strike the kick off in the second half.
