The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 3 minutes into the game, Hanjo Cyrkel cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Edinho Paraíba was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Edinho Paraíba took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hanjo Cyrkel, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 7 minutes had been played when some careless play by Maverick Futebol Clube's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Antônio Lopes was slow to take the kick. Burkhard Kofler showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wit Chuchro in the 18th minute of the match. In the 20th match minute, Maverick Futebol Clube was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tawfiq Ajram to maneuver through the defense. After 23 minutes of play, Borussia Ostermoordorf's Niels Laubenburg made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Edinho Paraíba was left in no man's land by his defense there! Borussia Ostermoordorf were awarded a corner in the 29th minute after Maverick Futebol Clube's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Antônio Lopes took the corner. A very nice done corner allowed Samuel Oppmann to score against Edinho Paraíba in Maverick Futebol Clube's goal. 3-0 after 29 minutes. In the 31st minute, Deivid Goiano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Edinho Paraíba took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Niels Laubenburg, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Niels Laubenburg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edinho Paraíba having to interfere. With a little luck, Maverick Futebol Clube's Edinho Paraíba got control of the ball when Niels Laubenburg tried to sneak it across the goal line. Edinho Paraíba made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Niels Laubenburg in the 47th minute of play. 48 minutes had been played when some careless play by Maverick Futebol Clube's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Antônio Lopes was slow to take the kick. During this time Borussia Ostermoordorf's players had a chance to rest. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Niels Laubenburg was the one to do the kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 55th minute, Niels Laubenburg managed to get in a good position for a shot. Borussia Ostermoordorf's supporters rose to their feet, but Niels Laubenburg was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Edinho Paraíba breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Niels Laubenburg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Burkhard Kofler made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cacá Cavalcante in the 58th minute. 59 minutes had been played when some careless play by Borussia Ostermoordorf's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Deivid Goiano was slow to take the kick. During this time Maverick Futebol Clube's players had a chance to rest. After some careless play in the Maverick Futebol Clube defense, Niels Laubenburg kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Edinho Paraíba. The Maverick Futebol Clube fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Edinho Paraíba should have stopped the shot. If Niels Laubenburg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tawfiq Ajram hit a great freekick 68 minutes into the match. A collision led to Maverick Futebol Clube getting a freekick after 71 minutes play. Tawfiq Ajram hit a great ball. Victor Jensen's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Edinho Paraíba read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 76th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Niels Laubenburg in the 78th minute of play forced Maverick Futebol Clube's goalkeeper Edinho Paraíba to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 79 minutes into the match, Victor Jensen notched a goal, 6-0, to the right of Maverick Futebol Clube's Edinho Paraíba. Edinho Paraíba was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 81st minute, Samuel Oppmann hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 87th minute, Wit Chuchro ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Burkhard Kofler was frozen by the shot and now it was 6-1. In the 89th minute, Tawfiq Ajram hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Abderaouf Bensaoula's late challenge caught a Borussia Ostermoordorf's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Abderaouf Bensaoula helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Maverick Futebol Clube getting a freekick after 92 minutes play. Abderaouf Bensaoula hit a great ball. After 93 minutes, Niels Laubenburg made it 7-1 with a short kick to the right side. Maverick Futebol Clube's Edinho Paraíba tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. When the referee ended the match the Borussia Ostermoordorf players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
