When Motta Futebol Clube's Válbson de Alcântara in the 6th minute got a chance for a shot 6th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Los Espinillos FC's goalie prevented a goal. After 6 minutes, Válbson de Alcântara made it 1-0 with a short kick to the right side. Los Espinillos FC's Marcus Silva tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Marcus Silva made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lu Ladron in the 9th minute of play. The supporters of Motta Futebol Clube booed when Los Espinillos FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luis Orlondon didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 11 minutes, Lu Ladron managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Motta Futebol Clube's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lu Ladron was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The supporters of Motta Futebol Clube booed when Los Espinillos FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fernando Janpier didn't get a good kick on the ball. 16 minutes into the match, Motta Futebol Clube's goal looked a bit too open when Jimeno Gumaro came free, but Aírton de Lima reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 17th minute of the match, Válbson de Alcântara tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Marcus Silva saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. 18 minutes into the match, Lu Ladron dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Marcus Silva, 2-0. Marcus Silva showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Válbson de Alcântara, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. Lu Ladron made a well adjusted shot against goal in the 45thth minute coming free in front of the goal, but Marcus Silva would not let the ball come through at any expense and made a nice save by the left post. 46 minutes had been played when some careless play by Los Espinillos FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Lu Ladron was slow to take the kick. During this time Motta Futebol Clube's players had a chance to rest. Lu Ladron made a great header on Motta Futebol Clube's corner, it was just that Los Espinillos FC's Marcus Silva managed to reach the ball for a save. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The audience was convinced that Lu Ladron's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Marcus Silva was relentless in the 71st minute of the game. Válbson de Alcântara received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Marcus Silva tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Aírton de Lima made a fantastic save in the 77th minute, when Jimeno Gumaro sent off a good shot on target. Adolfo Tipi kicked well hit freekick during the 78th minute of the match. Motta Futebol Clube's Válbson de Alcântara got a good chance for a goal in the 81st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Motta Futebol Clube's Armandinho Carvalho was substituted for Lu Ladron. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dudu Hermes in the 84th minute of play forced Los Espinillos FC's goalkeeper Marcus Silva to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Marcus Silva showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Válbson de Alcântara, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. After 90 played minutes Motta Futebol Clube got a freekick which was hit by Gilmar Garcia. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went.
