The supporters of AC Collins booed when Rathmore Lime Tree was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Yves Robinet didn't get a good kick on the ball. Mel Önen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Alix Geoffray tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Alix Geoffray took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mel Önen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Alix Geoffray showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Carmine Oddi, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. Donato Foddis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Yves Robinet, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Toufik Loir during the 25th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The Rathmore Lime Tree players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. AC Collins were winning 0-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Carmine Oddi to strike the kick off in the second half. 56 minutes into the match, Rathmore Lime Tree's goal looked a bit too open when Mel Önen came free, but Alix Geoffray reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 61st minute Yves Robinet shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Donato Foddis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the match was over AC Collins could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Rathmore Lime Tree throughout the match.
