Diamantino Lobo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alfredo Rossi in the 8th minute of play. 11 minutes into the match, Jacuitiba - FSCMZ's Basílio Silveira sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Cláudio Taffarel narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Cláudio Taffarel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Basílio Silveira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Falcão Britto kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. Through an outstanding action, after 20 minutes, Cláudio Taffarel successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Cláudio Taffarel made an important save on a dangerous shot by Basílio Silveira in the 23rd minute. A collision led to Jacuitiba - FSCMZ getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. In the 45th match minute, Racing Club【LBF】 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Manuel Marchidan to maneuver through the defense. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

Lucho Gonzales made in the 52nd minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Jacuitiba - FSCMZ's Chico Carrasco. Basílio Silveira's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Cláudio Taffarel read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 54th minute of play. Racing Club【LBF】's Celestino Seber got a good chance for a goal in the 67th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Jacuitiba - FSCMZ's Chico Carrasco managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Lucho Gonzales in the 71 minute of the game. 71 minutes into the match, Jacuitiba - FSCMZ's Basílio Silveira sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Cláudio Taffarel narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Cláudio Taffarel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Falcão Britto in the 80th minute of the match. Severino Jatsu hit a great freekick 87 minutes into the match. When the referee blew the final whistle, Jacuitiba - FSCMZ could leave the field as winners, despite Racing Club【LBF】 having more of the ball for most of the match.
