Herman Kindermans showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Harvey Dresdner, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. With an all-out effort, Hemmersbacher SV's Herman Kindermans threw himself towards the right post 37 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Harvey Dresdner, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. After the first half Moerhuize were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Luca Saenger stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Olympio Gerste struck a weak shot in the 53rd minute. Herman Kindermans didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Hemmersbacher SV. Herman Kindermans made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Olympio Gerste in the 56th minute of play. 56 minutes into the match, Olympio Gerste had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Herman Kindermans. Moerhuize's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Olympio Gerste was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. After 64 played minutes Hemmersbacher SV got a freekick which was hit by Raphael Moret. An unexpectedly hard shot by Olympio Gerste in the 66th minute of play forced Moerhuize's goalkeeper Herman Kindermans to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Hemmersbacher SV booed when Moerhuize was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 66 match minutes in a wonderful position. Charl Minnen didn't get a good kick on the ball. But to his dismay, Luca Saenger quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. Arnaldo Walthert made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Thorsten Klemm in the 77th minute of play. 77 minutes into the match, Thorsten Klemm dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Arnaldo Walthert, 2-2. In the 84thth minute of the game Luca Saenger who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Moerhuize's Herman Kindermans was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 86 minutes had been played when some careless play by Moerhuize's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Rory Restaino was slow to take the kick. During this time Hemmersbacher SV's players had a chance to rest. Hemmersbacher SV's Oskar Brandenberger was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Herman Kindermans in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. 88 minutes into the match, Hemmersbacher SV's goalkeeper Arnaldo Walthert had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Thorsten Klemm. Olympio Gerste took the ball and in the 91 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Herman Kindermans. Herman Kindermans dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-2. Martin Tkint's late challenge caught a Hemmersbacher SV's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Martin Tkint helped the player get up and apologised. In the 94th match minute, Moerhuize was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Martin Tkint to maneuver through the defense. The audience was convinced that Luca Saenger's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Herman Kindermans was relentless in the 95th minute of the game. Raphael Moret charged in rather forcefully in the 97th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Raphael Moret the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In a very dangerous position, a player in Hemmersbacher SV fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 96th minute. Penalty!
