Gilberto Carretero blasted a shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Joachim Holmgren having to make a save. When the match had gone on for 15 minutes, Robert Billock put it in 1-0 from a short distance just to the right of Joachim Holmgren. Sebastian Frey took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Miromir Szostak, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 19 minutes into the match, Miromir Szostak notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Real Murçia FC's Sebastian Frey. Sebastian Frey was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. With a little luck, FC Hackspett U21's Joachim Holmgren got control of the ball when He Xu tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 23rdth minute of the game Robert Billock who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but FC Hackspett U21's Joachim Holmgren was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Luka Pirlo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sebastian Frey having to interfere. Real Murçia FC's Sebastian Frey played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Miromir Szostak in the 30th minute of play. Sebastian Frey showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Shi Li Sha in the 32nd minute of the match. 34 minutes into the game, Miromir Szostak cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Sebastian Frey was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Luka Pirlo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 39th minute the ball was on its way in behind Real Murçia FC's goalkeeper Sebastian Frey, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 44 minutes of play, Real Murçia FC's Gilberto Carretero made it 2-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Joachim Holmgren was left in no man's land by his defense there! After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Joachim Holmgren came out of the goal in the 51st minute to try and stop a shot by Real Murçia FC's Robert Billock. But to his dismay, Robert Billock quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-2. 55 minutes into the match, Real Murçia FC's goal looked a bit too open when Miromir Szostak came free, but Sebastian Frey reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 59 minutes had been played when some careless play by Real Murçia FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Ye Feng Feng was slow to take the kick. During this time FC Hackspett U21's players had a chance to rest. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Real Murçia FC's goalie and right to Magnus Grubb. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Real Murçia FC's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. In the 64th minute, Shi Li Sha got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Real Murçia FC's Sebastian Frey played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Miromir Szostak in the 65th minute of play. Sebastian Frey stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Miromir Szostak's shot from short distance in the 70th minute. FC Hackspett U21 made a substitution. Kara Melo replaced Göran Ekelund. After taking down the ball on FC Hackspett U21's corner Luka Pirlo fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Sebastian Frey quite easily take care of the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Robert Billock in the 76th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Joachim Holmgren saved FC Hackspett U21 from getting behind. In the 84th minute FC Hackspett U21 were awarded a corner. Edvard Klemensson went to the cornerflag to take it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gilberto Carretero in the 87th minute of play forced FC Hackspett U21's goalkeeper Joachim Holmgren to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
