In the 4th minute Victor Deunoro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dennis Lindberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Plumerillo's Abel Matro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Erik Beckeman in the 5th minute of play. Dennis Lindberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jacobo Gonzo in the 6th minute of play. Abel Matro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Markus Åström, who was totally free with the ball in the 8th minute. Galapagos Islands FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Markus Åström in the 9th minute. The corner led Galapagos Islands FC's Gunnar Nyman to fire away a dangerous shot which Abel Matro despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gösta Lönn in the 9th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Abel Matro saved Plumerillo from getting behind. Dennis Lindberg made a fantastic save in the 11th minute, when Ignacio Fernández sent off a good shot on target. Eugen Mantoiu struck a weak shot in the 18th minute. Abel Matro didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Galapagos Islands FC. Erik Beckeman took the ball and in the 25 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Abel Matro. Abel Matro dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Galapagos Islands FC's Dennis Lindberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jacobo Gonzo in the 30th minute of play. Dennis Lindberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ignacio Fernández in the 35th minute of play. Ignacio Fernández came free with the goalkeeper in the 36th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Dennis Lindberg could save by the left post. In the 39th minute Jacobo Gonzo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dennis Lindberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 43rd minute Markus Åström shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Abel Matro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 43 minutes into the match, Plumerillo's goal looked a bit too open when Markus Åström came free, but Abel Matro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 43rd match minute, Galapagos Islands FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eugen Mantoiu to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Galapagos Islands FC's Aaron Sjöström got a free kick in the 45th minute. In the 47th minute Jacobo Gonzo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dennis Lindberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After the first half Galapagos Islands FC were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Erik Beckeman stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Plumerillo's Abel Matro proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 51st minute of the match, managed to save Plumerillo from getting a goal against them. Dennis Lindberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Victor Deunoro, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. In the 53rd minute, Galapagos Islands FC's Erik Beckeman dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-2. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Erik Beckeman in the 55th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Abel Matro saved Plumerillo from getting behind. Abel Matro didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Erik Beckeman went, in the 63rd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. When Plumerillo's Victor Deunoro in the 67th minute got a chance for a shot 67th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Galapagos Islands FC's goalie prevented a goal. If Jacobo Gonzo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dennis Lindberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Victor Deunoro, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute. After 73 minutes Galapagos Islands FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Long Feng Xing who took care of the corner kick. Plumerillo's defense didn't have a chance, in the 76th minute, when Markus Åström scored to the left of an out of position Abel Matro, making the score, 0-4. 82 minutes into the match, Galapagos Islands FC's Sigvart Biegel sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Abel Matro narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Eugen Mantoiu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 89 played minutes Plumerillo got a freekick which was hit by Long Feng Xing. Dennis Lindberg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jacobo Gonzo in the 95th minute of the match. Galapagos Islands FC played a much better game than Plumerillo and deserved their victory. The Plumerillo players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
