An unexpectedly hard shot by Avery Merrill in the 27th minute of play forced Arsenal de Gols F.C's goalkeeper Marcelo Gröhe to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 32nd minute Avery Merrill shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcelo Gröhe saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 34th minute of the match, Avery Merrill tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Marcelo Gröhe saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. After taking down the ball on Persepolis F.C.'s corner Dominic Delgado fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Marcelo Gröhe quite easily take care of the ball. Santos Perez came out of the goal in the 39th minute to try and stop a shot by Arsenal de Gols F.C's Elias Siqueira. But to his dismay, Elias Siqueira quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Robert Gane's late challenge caught a Persepolis F.C.'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Robert Gane helped the player get up and apologised. After 48 played minutes Arsenal de Gols F.C got a freekick which was hit by Robert Gane. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Elias Siqueira was the one to do the kick off.
