Marius Popa came out of the goal and Oswaldo Dionísio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 17th match minute, Menang Kalah Tawuran was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gaetano Raich to maneuver through the defense. After recieving a nice pass, Afyon İdman Yurdu's Jakub Gonsiewski tried to score from far away in the 18th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Menang Kalah Tawuran's Marius Popa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mehmet Fatih Yalım in the 20th minute of play. Semavi Özguven took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gustaw Brzonkala, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Oswaldo Dionísio got free with Marius Popa in the 23rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Oswaldo Dionísio could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 29th minute of the match, but Marius Popa made a huge save. 32 minutes into the game, Abu Gosoc was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Menang Kalah Tawuran's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Afyon İdman Yurdu the free kick. After a rather tough play, Menang Kalah Tawuran's Abu Gosoc got a free kick in the 32nd minute. Mehmet Fatih Yalım in the 33rdth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Marius Popa, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rafael Leão in the 36th minute of play forced Afyon İdman Yurdu's goalkeeper Semavi Özguven to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience was convinced that Arvin Sutrisna's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Semavi Özguven was relentless in the 37th minute of the game.
