Roy Makaay ran back to his position shaking his head. 9 minutes into the match, FC Beatriz 08's goal looked a bit too open when Roy Makaay came free, but Eurico lago reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Eurico lago showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Roy Makaay in the 11th minute of the match. Through an outstanding action, after 13 minutes, Nenko Reza successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. FC Beatriz 08's Eurico lago played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Roy Makaay in the 14th minute of play. Villaverde Celeste Clube's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Guo Ao in the 24th minute. Dino Manfredi was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. Luís Paulo Carneiro hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. Eurico lago stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Roy Makaay's shot from short distance in the 33rd minute. The corner led Villaverde Celeste Clube's Guo Ao to fire away a dangerous shot which Eurico lago despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. 57 minutes in the game, the ball went up into the seats when Villaverde Celeste Clube's Armandinho Xavier fired away a shot that was just a little bit too high. He walked away shaking his head. After having played for 63 minutes, Roy Makaay managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Villaverde Celeste Clube's supporters crossed their fingers, but Roy Makaay was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The Villaverde Celeste Clube supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Villaverde Celeste Clube would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
