The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but José Carlos Torres showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Lucio Luix kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. Beto Magalhães recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 17th minute. Dênis de Senna hit a great freekick 34 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 35th minute, Melquiades Beila managed to get in a good position for a shot. Terapia Intensiva's supporters rose to their feet, but Melquiades Beila was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Marcelinho Rocha breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Frédson Castro's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 37thth minute, José Carlos Torres skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. In the 47th minute Lorenzo Fernanco shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcelinho Rocha saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Frédson Castro to make the kick off. Terapia Intensiva's José Carlos Torres played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Frédson Castro in the 51st minute of play. Jr Familia Campos FC's Aldo Santini got a good chance for a goal in the 53rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The audience was convinced that Frédson Castro's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but José Carlos Torres was relentless in the 56th minute of the game. After a rather tough play, Jr Familia Campos FC's Romário Maranhense got a free kick in the 58th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Frédson Castro in the 61st minute of play forced Terapia Intensiva's goalkeeper José Carlos Torres to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Terapia Intensiva's Lucio Luix got a free kick in the 64th minute. Beto Magalhães, 64 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lorenzo Fernanco in the 74th minute of play forced Jr Familia Campos FC's goalkeeper Marcelinho Rocha to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Naldo Prado in the 76th minute of play forced Terapia Intensiva's goalkeeper José Carlos Torres to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. José Carlos Torres came out of the goal in the 78th minute to try and stop a shot by Jr Familia Campos FC's Naldo Prado. But to his dismay, Naldo Prado quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. 81 minutes into the match, Terapia Intensiva's Melquiades Beila sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Marcelinho Rocha narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Melquiades Beilas short, quick shot in the 84thth minute got Marcelinho Rocha to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 88th match minute, Jr Familia Campos FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ramón Velloso to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to Terapia Intensiva getting a freekick after 94 minutes play. Luis Nafarroa hit a great ball.
