When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Jose Atarratze made a kick off. In the 64th minute, Luke Modrić got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Eigtheenstars 2 made a substitution. The E.C.Pelotas fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Sobhy Paredes should have stopped the shot. After 78 played minutes Eigtheenstars 2 got a freekick which was hit by Oscar Ruggieri. Eigtheenstars 2 made a substitution. Mauro Caruso replaced Jose Atarratze. The supporters of E.C.Pelotas booed when Eigtheenstars 2 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 80 match minutes in a wonderful position. Oscar Ruggieri didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Murilo Neto got free with Ignacio Valery in the 92nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 95 minutes into the match, Mauro Caruso had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Sobhy Paredes. E.C.Pelotas's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Mauro Caruso was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-1.
