E.C.Pelotas's Sobhy Paredes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vicente Txindoki in the 4th minute of play. Sobhy Paredes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vicente Txindoki, who was totally free with the ball in the 5th minute. After having played for 13 minutes, Benjamin Marinho managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. E.C.Pelotas's supporters crossed their fingers, but Benjamin Marinho was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 14th minute, E.C.Pelotas's Alfonso Leon dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. 18 minutes into the match, MirkoNicolas FC's goalkeeper Martin Liberto had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Murilo Neto. 19 minutes into the match, E.C.Pelotas's goal looked a bit too open when Vicente Txindoki came free, but Sobhy Paredes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 22nd match minute, E.C.Pelotas was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gerson Moraes to maneuver through the defense. In the 25th match minute, MirkoNicolas FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Raimundo Panfilo to maneuver through the defense. With a little luck, MirkoNicolas FC's Martin Liberto got control of the ball when Murilo Neto tried to sneak it across the goal line. Roman Palermo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 30th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alfonso Leon in the 36th minute of play forced MirkoNicolas FC's goalkeeper Martin Liberto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 39th minute Marcelo Kaiet shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sobhy Paredes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sobhy Paredes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marcelo Kaiet, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Murilo Neto's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Martin Liberto read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 45th minute of play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The wind increased when Alfonso Leon made the kick off in the second half. Placido Luzaide kicked well hit freekick during the 52nd minute of the match. 54 minutes into the match, MirkoNicolas FC's goal looked a bit too open when Alfonso Leon came free, but Martin Liberto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 55 minutes into the game, E.C.Pelotas's Alfonso Leon nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Martin Liberto made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. E.C.Pelotas made a substitution. Wilhelm Rolfsson replaced Nando Vides. E.C.Pelotas made a substitution. Luke Modrić replaced Alfonso Leon. Marcelo Kaiet could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 61st minute of the match, but Sobhy Paredes made a huge save. Martin Liberto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Murilo Neto in the 65th minute of play. When Luke Modrić fell near the penalty area in the 71st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored E.C.Pelotas's protests and gave Luke Modrić a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to E.C.Pelotas getting a freekick after 71 minutes play. Luke Modrić hit a great ball. In the 78th minute, Luke Modrić got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 79th minute, Achille Marchegiani hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to MirkoNicolas FC getting a freekick after 92 minutes play. Achille Marchegiani hit a great ball. MirkoNicolas FC's Vicente Txindoki got a good chance for a goal in the 94th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. MirkoNicolas FC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
