Rodrigo Gau took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fabricio Vedeja, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 26 minutes into the match, Loja S.C.'s goalkeeper Joel Caton had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Rogelio Bilbo. Rodrigo Gau made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Loco Bugedo in the 28th minute of play. In the 33rd minute, Cyprian Walicki hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 35th minute, Rogelio Bilbo made a precise shot to the right of Joel Caton. Loja S.C.'s defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

56 minutes into the match, Loja S.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Anibal Chap came free, but Joel Caton reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a little luck, Pegale De Puntín's Rodrigo Gau got control of the ball when Loco Bugedo tried to sneak it across the goal line. The corner led Loja S.C.'s Atilano Rojas to fire away a dangerous shot which Rodrigo Gau despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Rodrigo Gau made a fantastic save in the 61st minute, when Alonzo Gipils sent off a good shot on target. The supporters of Pegale De Puntín booed when Loja S.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 62 match minutes in a wonderful position. Loco Bugedo didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to Pegale De Puntín getting a freekick after 64 minutes play. Sergio Lluc hit a great ball. Rodrigo Gau made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Atilano Rojas in the 65th minute of play. A hard shot 71 in the game by Fabricio Vedeja from a close distance when the talented Rodrigo Gau managed to make a qualified save. Pegale De Puntín's players were relieved. Loja S.C. made a substitution. Pedro Gudesteo replaced Alonzo Gipils. In the 78th minute, Loja S.C.'s Atilano Rojas ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Rodrigo Gau. Rodrigo Gau yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-2. Hipolito Cristos kicked well hit freekick during the 83rd minute of the match. 87 minutes into the match, Pegale De Puntín's goal looked a bit too open when Atilano Rojas came free, but Rodrigo Gau reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Loja S.C.'s zone, Anibal Chap stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Joel Caton came out of the goal and Anibal Chap tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 91 played minutes Pegale De Puntín got a freekick which was hit by Hipolito Cristos. After some fancy dribbling in the 91st minute, Atilano Rojas managed to get in a good position for a shot. Loja S.C.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Atilano Rojas was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rodrigo Gau breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Rodrigo Gau showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hidalgo Gallegos in the 94th minute of the match.
