Fortunato Montini showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alfredão Prestes in the 24th minute of the match. Serginho Nogueira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bernardo Scandella, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. After 27 minutes of play, GG Team FC's Dave De Bartolo made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Serginho Nogueira was left in no man's land by his defense there! Serginho Nogueira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bernardo Scandella, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Baturhan Oytun had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Miguel Borja in the 40th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Serginho Nogueira saved PIAUÍ FC from getting behind. In the 43rd minute Bernardo Scandella shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Serginho Nogueira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After the first half GG Team FC were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Dave De Bartolo made the kick off in the second half. After 54 played minutes GG Team FC got a freekick which was hit by Hassan Marcou. With a little luck, PIAUÍ FC's Serginho Nogueira got control of the ball when Bernardo Scandella tried to sneak it across the goal line. Meng Shi Peng hit a great freekick 58 minutes into the match. GG Team FC's Fortunato Montini played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Juninho Freitas in the 64th minute of play. Dave De Bartolo in the 65thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Serginho Nogueira, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. In the 69th minute, Miguel Borja got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.
