In the 23rd minute, Rolando Amorebieta got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Jacek Krzynowek came up free with the goalie in the 37th minute, the Boca Juniors fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jacek Krzynowek couldn't finish the play. Thanks to some nice moves Arkadiusz Banaszak could shoot a difficult shot in the 39th minute, which Stamatis Bountos however easily saved by the left post. When the match clock showed 45 minutes, the score became 1-2 when Jacek Krzynowek sped through FC Bad Company's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Stamatis Bountos. FC Bad Company made a substitution. Alexis Polymerou replaced Michalis Katsaros. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Giorgos Raftis to make the kick off. During this time FC Bad Company's players had a chance to rest. 72 minutes into the match, Boca Juniors's goal looked a bit too open when Giorgos Raftis came free, but Jacinto Cuadrado reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
