The audience thought a goal was coming when Tobias Mino got free with Prudencio Hitzeder in the 32nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-3.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Raimundo Bonifaco in the 71st minute of play forced Albiceleste F.C.'s goalkeeper Clemente Artizar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 75th minute, Serafin Beti ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Clemente Artizar was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-5. After some careless play in the Albiceleste F.C. defense, Serafin Beti kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Clemente Artizar. Raimundo Bonifaco might have been able to make a better finish in the 89th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Clemente Artizar. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Raimundo Bonifaco ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 89th minute, Lucas Janson ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Clemente Artizar was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-8. In the 95th minute, Serafin Beti got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Viruela's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
