FC BaLiSt's Brun O'Down played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alberigo Sessa in the 8th minute of play. SSV Ulm 1846 were awarded a corner in the 10th minute after FC BaLiSt's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Sven-Olof Lilja took the corner. Sven-Olof Lilja made a great header on SSV Ulm 1846's corner, it was just that FC BaLiSt's Brun O'Down managed to reach the ball for a save. Don Merlot might have been able to make a better finish in the 13th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Brun O'Down. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Don Merlot ran back to his position shaking his head. Timo Courtois showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Laureano Cresenciano in the 16th minute of the match. Brun O'Down made a fantastic save in the 25th minute, when Alberigo Sessa sent off a good shot on target. The corner went over the outstretched arms of FC BaLiSt's goalie and right to Alberigo Sessa. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. FC BaLiSt's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. Timo Courtois showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tudor Greavu in the 28th minute of the match. Brun O'Down made an important save on a dangerous shot by Don Merlot in the 29th minute. If Don Merlot had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 33rd minute the ball was on its way in behind FC BaLiSt's goalkeeper Brun O'Down, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Brun O'Down made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alberigo Sessa in the 38th minute of play. SSV Ulm 1846's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Sven-Olof Lilja in the 39th minute. Olimpiu Mercescu tried in the 40th minute to hit away a contribution but miss-kicked the ball which ended up in his own goal and left an unhappy Brun O'Down a with quite unnecessary self made goal. Result 2-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Grigore Zberea in the 42nd minute of play forced SSV Ulm 1846's goalkeeper Timo Courtois to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Timo Courtois showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aron Olteanu, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. Claudiu Cârțan kicked well hit freekick during the 45th minute of the match. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Laureano Cresenciano to strike the kick off in the second half. The audience thought a goal was coming when Laureano Cresenciano got free with Timo Courtois in the 51st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Through an outstanding action, after 53 minutes, Timo Courtois successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Grigore Zberea in the 54th minute of play forced SSV Ulm 1846's goalkeeper Timo Courtois to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 62nd minute Alberigo Sessa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Brun O'Down saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Timo Courtois made a fantastic save in the 69th minute, when Laureano Cresenciano sent off a good shot on target. The supporters of FC BaLiSt booed when SSV Ulm 1846 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Don Merlot didn't get a good kick on the ball. Yang Wei could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 93rd minute of the match, but Timo Courtois made a huge save. Brun O'Down made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alberigo Sessa in the 95th minute of play. SSV Ulm 1846's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
