The corner led to SIMvergüenzas's Lei Ling Zheng getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. In the 12th minute, Sugih Linggawarman got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The supporters of SIMvergüenzas booed when Olympique Fribourg was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Herve Muller didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Sugih Linggawarman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sugih Linggawarman's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Patrick Knechtli read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 16th minute of play. Olaf Gregorczyk kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. In the 22nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Olympique Fribourg's goalkeeper Patrick Knechtli, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Patrick Knechtli stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Sugih Linggawarman's shot from short distance in the 25th minute. Patrick Knechtli came out of the goal in the 29th minute to try and stop a shot by SIMvergüenzas's Sugih Linggawarman. But to his dismay, Sugih Linggawarman quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 34th minute of the game. One of Olympique Fribourg:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of SIMvergüenzas:s goal. In the 40th minute, Sugih Linggawarman made a precise shot to the right of Patrick Knechtli. Olympique Fribourg's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-3. When the match had gone on for 44 minutes, Sugih Linggawarman put it in 0-4 from a short distance just to the right of Patrick Knechtli. After the first half SIMvergüenzas were leading 0-4. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

52 minutes into the game, Sugih Linggawarman cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-5. Patrick Knechtli was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Patrick Knechtli showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sugih Linggawarman in the 56th minute of the match. Sugih Linggawarman blasted a shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Patrick Knechtli having to make a save. Patrick Knechtli showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sugih Linggawarman in the 59th minute of the match. In the 59thth minute of the game Sugih Linggawarman who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Olympique Fribourg's Patrick Knechtli was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When the match had gone on for 59 minutes, Sugih Linggawarman put it in 0-7 from a short distance just to the right of Patrick Knechtli. Olympique Fribourg made a substitution. The audience thought a goal was coming when Nacho Picazo got free with Patrick Knechtli in the 82nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 91st minute, Salomo Montandon hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. SIMvergüenzas's Beto Rodríguez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Herve Muller in the 95th minute of play. A collision led to Olympique Fribourg getting a freekick after 96 minutes play. Téo Savion hit a great ball.
