An unexpectedly hard shot by Emerson Cruz in the 11th minute of play forced Ireland 1921's goalkeeper Generoso Gaxan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Isidoro Bilbo got free with Edinho Lira in the 15th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Thanks to some nice moves Leonel Criston could shoot a difficult shot in the 16th minute, which Edinho Lira however easily saved by the left post. Generoso Gaxan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luiz Eduardo Cardozo, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. In the 22nd match minute, Ireland 1921 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mariano Ishmael to maneuver through the defense. Isidoro Bilbo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Edinho Lira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 26th match minute, INTER FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bebeto Lucas to maneuver through the defense. In the 27th minute of the match Boguslaw Kaider sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Edinho Lira skillfully saved the ball. Generoso Gaxan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luiz Eduardo Cardozo in the 29th minute of the match. Leonel Criston could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 31st minute of the match, but Edinho Lira made a huge save. 35 minutes into the match, INTER FC's goalkeeper Edinho Lira had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Leonel Criston. Leonel Criston's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Edinho Lira firmly grabbed it by the left post. 37 minutes into the match, INTER FC's goal looked a bit too open when Boguslaw Kaider came free, but Edinho Lira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Isidoro Bilbo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 42nd minute of the match, but Edinho Lira made a huge save. 44 minutes into the game, Boguslaw Kaider recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Edinho Lira. Boguslaw Kaider showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-0. Edinho Lira made a fantastic save in the 47th minute, when Leonel Criston sent off a good shot on target. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Leonel Criston made a kick off. 56 minutes into the game, Ricardinho Batista was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. INTER FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ireland 1921 the free kick. INTER FC's Luís Ferreira was substituted for Emerson Cruz. INTER FC's Frits Berendt was substituted for Luiz Eduardo Cardozo. An unexpectedly hard shot by Boguslaw Kaider in the 64th minute of play forced INTER FC's goalkeeper Edinho Lira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Edinho Lira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Isidoro Bilbo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Cássio Porto during the 73rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Cássio Porto kicked well hit freekick during the 74th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Frits Berendt got free with Generoso Gaxan in the 76th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When Bebeto Lucas fell near the penalty area in the 77th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored INTER FC's protests and gave Bebeto Lucas a yellow card for diving instead. Bebeto Lucas kicked well hit freekick during the 77th minute of the match. Edinho Lira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Leonel Criston in the 79th minute of the match. Edinho Lira came out of the goal in the 81st minute to try and stop a shot by Ireland 1921's Leonel Criston. But to his dismay, Leonel Criston quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. A collision led to Ireland 1921 getting a freekick after 84 minutes play. Herbert Banaszak hit a great ball. In the 86thth minute of the game Isidoro Bilbo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but INTER FC's Edinho Lira was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 88 minutes into the match, Ireland 1921's goal looked a bit too open when Frits Berendt came free, but Generoso Gaxan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Luís Ferreira kicked well hit freekick during the 91st minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Boguslaw Kaider in the 92nd minute of play forced INTER FC's goalkeeper Edinho Lira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ireland 1921's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Luís Ferreira 94 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 3-1. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Ireland 1921 had played much better football throughout.
