In the 38th minute Nacer Khlifi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mateusz Hajto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 39 minutes Nieciece's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Nacer Khlifi who took care of the corner kick. The corner ended in Nacer Khlifi almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Nieciece's Mateusz Hajto did a great save. Sebastião Salgado made a fantastic save in the 41st minute, when Cyryl Skonieczny sent off a good shot on target. Mateusz Hajto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nacer Khlifi, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Abdellatif Benkhirane made a kick off. After 54 played minutes Marrakech FC got a freekick which was hit by Alan Mota. In the 60th minute, Nieciece's Harvey Elliott seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Harvey Elliott the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Nieciece protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Harvey Elliott had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In a very dangerous position, a player in Nieciece fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 60th minute. Penalty! Nacer Khlifi shot the penalty kick right outside the post. The supporters of Marrakech FC booed when Nieciece was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Teofil Badanowski didn't get a good kick on the ball. Abdellatif Benkhirane received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Mateusz Hajto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 72nd minute, Abdellatif Benkhirane managed to get in a good position for a shot. Marrakech FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Abdellatif Benkhirane was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mateusz Hajto breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Nacer Khlifi came free with the goalkeeper in the 73rd minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Mateusz Hajto could save by the left post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nacer Khlifi in the 78th minute of play forced Nieciece's goalkeeper Mateusz Hajto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
