The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Jonas Cole could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 11th minute of the match, but Mauro-Facundo Buffon made a huge save. Luís Schmidt made in the 25th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Dwight Schrute. In the 30thth minute of the game Florian Capasso who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Brooklyn SC's Jospeh McNally was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The supporters of Brooklyn SC booed when Merusca F&P was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fellipe Capixaba didn't get a good kick on the ball. 37 minutes into the game, Luís Schmidt threw the ball into play from the sideline. Merusca F&P's Anderson Vidal quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Florian Capasso might have been able to make a better finish in the 38th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jospeh McNally. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Florian Capasso ran back to his position shaking his head. The supporters of Merusca F&P booed when Brooklyn SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luís Schmidt didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jonas Cole in the 42nd minute of play forced Merusca F&P's goalkeeper Mauro-Facundo Buffon to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Luís Schmidt kicked well hit freekick during the 44th minute of the match. When Florian Capasso came up free with the goalie in the 45th minute, the Merusca F&P fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Florian Capasso couldn't finish the play. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Florian Capasso to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute Florian Capasso shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jospeh McNally saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 55 minutes into the match, Brooklyn SC's goal looked a bit too open when Florian Capasso came free, but Jospeh McNally reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Florian Capasso sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Mauro-Facundo Buffon made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Trenton Long in the 60th minute of play. Jospeh McNally made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Florian Capasso in the 62nd minute of play. Merusca F&P's Geovani Mangueira managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Dwight Schrute in the 67 minute of the game. In the 68th minute, Geovani Mangueira got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Hélder Fonseca had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Merusca F&P's Fabrício Fernandes was substituted for Anderson Vidal. Jospeh McNally made an important save on a dangerous shot by Hélder Fonseca in the 72nd minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Mano Loco in the 75th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Mauro-Facundo Buffon prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After some fancy dribbling in the 80th minute, Trenton Long managed to get in a good position for a shot. Brooklyn SC's supporters rose to their feet, but Trenton Long was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mauro-Facundo Buffon breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Merusca F&P's Mauro-Facundo Buffon played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mano Loco in the 81st minute of play. 83 minutes into the match, Brooklyn SC's goal looked a bit too open when Geovani Mangueira came free, but Jospeh McNally reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 85 minutes, Hélder Fonseca made it 0-2 with a short kick to the right side. Brooklyn SC's Jospeh McNally tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jonas Cole in the 91st minute of play forced Merusca F&P's goalkeeper Mauro-Facundo Buffon to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Serginho Ramos made in the 94th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Merusca F&P's Vihar Perchemliev. Merusca F&P's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
