With an extended leg and a bit of luck Mickael Wuyts prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Mickael Wuyts took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Antônio Santos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 10th minute of the game, Xande Chaves landed unfortunately after trying to head the ball, and pulled a muscle in the back, so badly that he had to leave the field. Francisco Gagriel charged in rather forcefully in the 10th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Francisco Gagriel the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. ♙Fluminense Campéon 23♙ made a substitution. Dário Martins replaced Xande Chaves. In the 11th minute, Francisco Gagriel hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ging Root in the 34th minute of play forced Bahía é Carnaval's goalkeeper Mickael Wuyts to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Mickael Wuyts prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After taking down the ball on ♙Fluminense Campéon 23♙'s corner Paolo Maldini fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Mickael Wuyts quite easily take care of the ball. Sebastian Tello got a throw-in 39 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Vinicio Florin. Antônio Santos might have been able to make a better finish in the 40th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Mickael Wuyts. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Antônio Santos ran back to his position shaking his head. Mickael Wuyts made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Antônio Santos in the 40th minute of play. 45 minutes into the game, ♙Fluminense Campéon 23♙'s Antônio Santos nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Mickael Wuyts made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Antônio Santos to make the kick off. After a rather tough play, Bahía é Carnaval's Prospero Jakes got a free kick in the 53rd minute. In the 55th minute of the match ♙Fluminense Campéon 23♙ got a corner. Bahía é Carnaval's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Paolo Maldini ran over to the corner to take the kick. After some careless play in the Bahía é Carnaval defense, Antônio Santos kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Mickael Wuyts. The Bahía é Carnaval fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Mickael Wuyts should have stopped the shot. In the 59th match minute, Bahía é Carnaval was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Prospero Jakes to maneuver through the defense. Antônio Santos might have been able to make a better finish in the 61st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Mickael Wuyts. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Antônio Santos ran back to his position shaking his head. Mickael Wuyts showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Antônio Santos in the 61st minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Bahía é Carnaval's Vinicio Florin got a free kick in the 69th minute. Bahía é Carnaval's Erubiel Gaitan was substituted for Sebastian Tello. The supporters of ♙Fluminense Campéon 23♙ booed when Bahía é Carnaval was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 71 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vinicio Florin didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the match clock showed 79 minutes, the score became 0-3 when Antônio Santos sped through Bahía é Carnaval's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Mickael Wuyts. Bahía é Carnaval's Luis Iban was substituted for Marciano Ferran. 86 minutes into the game, Antônio Santos lined in a short shot 0-4 behind a frustrated Mickael Wuyts. Mickael Wuyts was out of position in the 89 minute of play, and Paolo Maldini capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Paolo Maldini really showed his touch with that goal: 0-5. 93 minutes into the match, Bahía é Carnaval's goalkeeper Mickael Wuyts had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ging Root. ♙Fluminense Campéon 23♙'s players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
