Seating: 33, VIP seats: 2) A. A. SAQUAREMA's Benjamin Brereton started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Cayetano Rito made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dedé Salles in the 4th minute of play. Valdomiro Sabóia kicked well hit freekick during the 8th minute of the match. Cayetano Rito took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Benjamin Brereton, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 10 played minutes Paulopolis got a freekick which was hit by Maurício Motta. Waldir Fernandez took the ball and in the 11 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Cayetano Rito. Cayetano Rito dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Benjamin Brereton in the 14th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Cayetano Rito prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Cayetano Rito stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Benjamin Brereton's shot from short distance in the 18th minute. 19 minutes into the match, Paulopolis's goal looked a bit too open when Leonel Seco came free, but Cayetano Rito reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 20 played minutes Paulopolis got a freekick which was hit by Luís Paulo Sabóia. An unexpectedly hard shot by Benjamin Brereton in the 21st minute of play forced Paulopolis's goalkeeper Cayetano Rito to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When A. A. SAQUAREMA's Benjamin Brereton in the 22nd minute got a chance for a shot 22nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Paulopolis's goalie prevented a goal. 24 minutes into the match, Paulopolis's goal looked a bit too open when Benjamin Brereton came free, but Cayetano Rito reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ruy Carneiro could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 26th minute of the match, but Marcelinho Quadros made a huge save. Cayetano Rito showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Benjamin Brereton in the 28th minute of the match. In the 33rd minute, Leonel Seco ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Cayetano Rito was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Cayetano Rito showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Benjamin Brereton in the 39th minute of the match. Ruy Carneiro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marcelinho Quadros having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet as Ruy Carneiro kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Marcelinho Quadros. That made the score 1-2 in the 42 minute of play. A. A. SAQUAREMA's Waldir Fernandez got a good chance for a goal in the 45th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.
Kaká Vinhas charged in rather forcefully in the 51st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Kaká Vinhas the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Paulopolis booed when A. A. SAQUAREMA was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kaká Vinhas didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a little luck, Paulopolis's Cayetano Rito got control of the ball when Benjamin Brereton tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 63rd minute Luís Paulo Sabóia shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcelinho Quadros saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A nice corner shot did that Sérgio Marinho got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Marcelinho Quadros quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. After 71 played minutes Paulopolis got a freekick which was hit by Luís Paulo Sabóia. If Benjamin Brereton had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ruy Carneiro in the 76th minute of play forced A. A. SAQUAREMA's goalkeeper Marcelinho Quadros to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 78 minutes into the game, Ruy Carneiro was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Paulopolis's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave A. A. SAQUAREMA the free kick. After 78 played minutes Paulopolis got a freekick which was hit by Ruy Carneiro. Paulopolis's defense didn't have a chance, in the 79th minute, when Benjamin Brereton scored to the left of an out of position Cayetano Rito, making the score, 1-3. In the 85th minute, Kaká Vinhas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Cícero Reis charged in rather forcefully in the 94th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Cícero Reis the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Paulopolis getting a freekick after 94 minutes play. Cícero Reis hit a great ball. A. A. SAQUAREMA's Benjamin Brereton got a good chance for a goal in the 95th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When the final whistle sounded A. A. SAQUAREMA left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Paulopolis.
