The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Nicolas Anaya took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Emanuel Markham, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Brufoss IL's Leif Opdal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Carlos Luna in the 12th minute of play. Nicolas Anaya made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Emanuel Markham in the 13th minute of play. A collision led to Brufoss IL getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Jan-Kenneth Heistad hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 21st minute, Kai Østbye managed to get in a good position for a shot. Brufoss IL's supporters rose to their feet, but Kai Østbye was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nicolas Anaya breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Frode Tobiassen in the 25th minute of play forced Monky FC's goalkeeper Nicolas Anaya to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 31 minutes into the match, Emanuel Markham had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Nicolas Anaya. Monky FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Emanuel Markham was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Monky FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Brufoss IL were winning 0-4.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Emanuel Markham to make the kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Brufoss IL's zone, Siro Osmundo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Leif Opdal came out of the goal and Siro Osmundo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 58 minutes into the match, Emanuel Markham had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Nicolas Anaya. Frode Tobiassen in the 63rdth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Nicolas Anaya, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. 64 minutes into the game, Brufoss IL's Kai Østbye nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. In the 84th minute Emanuel Markham shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nicolas Anaya saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Kai Østbye came up free with the goalie in the 86th minute, the Brufoss IL fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Kai Østbye couldn't finish the play. A collision led to Monky FC getting a freekick after 88 minutes play. Elvio Aresti hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 88th minute, Christer Ribe managed to get in a good position for a shot. Brufoss IL's supporters rose to their feet, but Christer Ribe was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post.
