Timoteo Marin charged in rather forcefully in the 5th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The supporters of Brufoss IL booed when Monky FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Constantino Pabla didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Christer Ribe came up free with the goalie in the 7th minute, the Brufoss IL fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Christer Ribe couldn't finish the play. Nicolas Anaya made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. 15 minutes into the game, Emanuel Markham recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Nicolas Anaya. Emanuel Markham showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-0. Emilio Gelacio scored 2-1 in the 18th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Leif Opdal, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After 20 played minutes Brufoss IL got a freekick which was hit by Kai Østbye. Leif Opdal showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Emilio Gelacio, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. 25 minutes into the match, Monky FC's goal looked a bit too open when Kai Østbye came free, but Nicolas Anaya reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Emanuel Markham kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Nicolas Anaya. That made the score 3-1 in the 30 minute of play. Jan-Kenneth Heistad recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 37th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Leif Opdal made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Emilio Gelacio in the 40th minute of play. Ceferino Mel kicked well hit freekick during the 40th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Kai Østbye got free with Nicolas Anaya in the 44th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 47 played minutes Monky FC got a freekick which was hit by German Guillelmus. The long shot by Christer Ribe in the 48th minute really tested Nicolas Anaya's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-2. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ceferino Mel made a kick off. When the match had gone on for 52 minutes, Ceferino Mel put it in 3-3 from a short distance just to the right of Leif Opdal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Emilio Gelacio in the 55th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Leif Opdal prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 57th minute, Emanuel Markham made a precise shot to the right of Nicolas Anaya. Monky FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-3. Monky FC's Nicolas Anaya played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kai Østbye in the 59th minute of play. Nicolas Anaya showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tom Utheim, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute. Leif Opdal made a fantastic save in the 66th minute, when Ceferino Mel sent off a good shot on target. In the 68th minute, Jan-Kenneth Heistad left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Brufoss IL fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 5-3. Leif Opdal made a fantastic save in the 79th minute, when Ceferino Mel sent off a good shot on target. 82 minutes into the match, Brufoss IL's Jakob Lode sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Nicolas Anaya narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 84th minute, Eleuterio Navarro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Emanuel Markham in the 87th minute of play forced Monky FC's goalkeeper Nicolas Anaya to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 88th minute Kai Østbye shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nicolas Anaya saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Eric Ferstad took the ball and in the 90 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Nicolas Anaya. Nicolas Anaya dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 7-3. In the 93rd match minute, Monky FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by German Guillelmus to maneuver through the defense. Monky FC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
