After 12 played minutes SAO JOANENSE FC got a freekick which was hit by Pedrinho Lara. alvarado's Ciro Ostadar proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 18th minute of the match, managed to save alvarado from getting a goal against them. In the 22nd match minute, alvarado was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dalmacio Perez to maneuver through the defense. With an all-out effort, SAO JOANENSE FC's Ciro Ostadar threw himself towards the right post 23 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Victor Linhares, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. With a little luck, alvarado's Ciro Ostadar got control of the ball when Baltazar Lago tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 33rdth minute of the game Aquilino Txartiko who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but SAO JOANENSE FC's Fernandão Linares was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 54th minute Abel Bordat shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fernandão Linares saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 55th minute, Cássio Mangueira hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Aquilino Txartiko's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Fernandão Linares firmly grabbed it by the left post. Aquilino Txartiko took the ball and in the 57 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Fernandão Linares. Fernandão Linares dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-3. After a defensive mix-up in alvarado's zone, Baltazar Lago stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ciro Ostadar came out of the goal and Baltazar Lago tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A hard shot 62 in the game by Aquilino Txartiko from a close distance when the talented Fernandão Linares managed to make a qualified save. SAO JOANENSE FC's players were relieved. The supporters of SAO JOANENSE FC booed when alvarado was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dalmacio Perez didn't get a good kick on the ball. João Augusto Messias struck a weak shot in the 73rd minute. Ciro Ostadar didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SAO JOANENSE FC. Evaristo Carneiro hit a great freekick 75 minutes into the match. Fernandão Linares was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 76th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Agustin Costante. An unexpectedly hard shot by Baltazar Lago in the 81st minute of play forced alvarado's goalkeeper Ciro Ostadar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 82nd minute, Wilton Pinho got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 87 minutes into the game, Abel Bordat recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Fernandão Linares. Abel Bordat showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-6. When alvarado's Aquilino Txartiko in the 92nd minute got a chance for a shot 92nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Aquilino Txartiko could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 94th minute of the match, but Fernandão Linares made a huge save. The SAO JOANENSE FC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. alvarado were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
