Alfonso Valentine made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Maximo Emeterio in the 4th minute of play. Cayetano Belasko scored 0-1 in the 5th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Isaias Gurutz, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Gogo Rivero charged in rather forcefully in the 8th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Gogo Rivero the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Gogo Rivero hit a great freekick 8 minutes into the match. In the 9th match minute, Atlético Montserrat was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Casimiro Guillem to maneuver through the defense. After 9 minutes of play, RED DEVIL's Ciriaco Cayo made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Isaias Gurutz was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 12th minute, Luisito Fix hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Isaias Gurutz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ermegildo Jerrald, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Isaias Gurutz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Leonel Enaut in the 15th minute of the match. Gogo Rivero hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. 21 minutes into the match, Cayetano Belasko had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Isaias Gurutz. Atlético Montserrat's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Cayetano Belasko was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. After 24 minutes of play, RED DEVIL's Leonel Enaut made it 0-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Isaias Gurutz was left in no man's land by his defense there! Isaias Gurutz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ciriaco Cayo, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. Alfonso Valentine made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Maximo Emeterio in the 35th minute of play. Ermegildo Jerrald took the ball and in the 36 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Isaias Gurutz. Isaias Gurutz dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-5. In the 42nd minute Ermegildo Jerrald shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Isaias Gurutz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 44th minute, Leonel Enaut ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Isaias Gurutz was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-6. In the 48th minute, Rogelio Luzea hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-6 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
Isaias Gurutz was out of position in the 53 minute of play, and Leonel Enaut capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Leonel Enaut really showed his touch with that goal: 0-7. After 56 played minutes RED DEVIL got a freekick which was hit by Gonzalo Procopio. Leonel Enaut sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. When Luciano Lon fell near the penalty area in the 71st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored RED DEVIL's protests and gave Luciano Lon a yellow card for diving instead. Luciano Lon hit a great freekick 71 minutes into the match. In the 72nd match minute, RED DEVIL was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luciano Lon to maneuver through the defense. In the 74th minute Leonel Enaut shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Isaias Gurutz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 74 minutes into the game, Leonel Enaut recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Isaias Gurutz. Leonel Enaut showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-8. Isaias Gurutz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ermegildo Jerrald, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. After a rather tough play, Atlético Montserrat's Severo Cutberto got a free kick in the 79th minute. Ermegildo Jerrald succeeded in the game's 81st minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 0-9. In the 88th minute, Luciano Lon hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Luisito Fix received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Alfonso Valentine tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 90 played minutes Atlético Montserrat got a freekick which was hit by Rogelio Luzea. Isaias Gurutz made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ermegildo Jerrald in the 92nd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Maximo Emeterio in the 96th minute of play forced RED DEVIL's goalkeeper Alfonso Valentine to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the match was over RED DEVIL could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Atlético Montserrat throughout the match.
