When Moritz Christe came up free with the goalie in the 6th minute, the Academica Pulheim fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Moritz Christe couldn't finish the play. Jean-Paul Daalmeyer didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Pinkus Mack went, in the 10th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. Shao Hui Li recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 14th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Henry Nölting made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Shao Hui Li in the 18th minute of play. The Underdogs's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Meindert Jonkman in the 19th minute. Jean-Paul Daalmeyer made a fantastic save in the 21st minute, when Achmed Bani sent off a good shot on target. 23 minutes into the match, Pinkus Mack dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Jean-Paul Daalmeyer, 3-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Shao Hui Li in the 29th minute of play forced Academica Pulheim's goalkeeper Henry Nölting to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Malte Rastätter kicked well hit freekick during the 38th minute of the match. After recieving a nice pass, The Underdogs's Meindert Jonkman tried to score from far away in the 39th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Shao Hui Li in the 42nd minute of play forced Academica Pulheim's goalkeeper Henry Nölting to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Achmed Bani came free with the goalkeeper in the 44th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Jean-Paul Daalmeyer could save by the left post. Henry Nölting made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Shao Hui Li in the 46th minute of play. In the 47thth minute of the game Shao Hui Li who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Academica Pulheim's Henry Nölting was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 4-0 at half-time.

51 minutes into the match, Achmed Bani notched a goal, 5-0, to the right of The Underdogs's Jean-Paul Daalmeyer. Jean-Paul Daalmeyer was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Shao Hui Li scored 5-1 in the 54th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Henry Nölting, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 58th minute Denny Haan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Henry Nölting saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Academica Pulheim's Edgar Gomminginger was substituted for Meinolf Rebe. Moritz Christe kicked well hit freekick during the 62nd minute of the match. Godfried de Boer kicked well hit freekick during the 63rd minute of the match. If Moritz Christe had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 67th minute Shao Hui Li shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Henry Nölting saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 70 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Academica Pulheim! Denny Haan charged in rather forcefully in the 79th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Denny Haan the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 79 played minutes The Underdogs got a freekick which was hit by Denny Haan. In the 81st minute, Midas Field hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Shao Hui Li in the 83rd minute of play forced Academica Pulheim's goalkeeper Henry Nölting to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 86th minute, Godfried de Boer hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The crowd rose to their feet as Shao Hui Li kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Henry Nölting. That made the score 5-3 in the 94 minute of play. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Academica Pulheim fans cheered their team off the field, for while The Underdogs had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
