With a couple of smart ball manuevers Miromir Szostak in the 14th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Miguel Ángel Ortiz saved S.E.R. Caxias do Sul from getting behind. In the 17th minute, Shi Li Sha hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 18th minute of the match Kauã Vander sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Joachim Holmgren skillfully saved the ball. S.E.R. Caxias do Sul's Miguel Ángel Ortiz proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 23rd minute of the match, managed to save S.E.R. Caxias do Sul from getting a goal against them. In the 24th minute FC Hackspett U21 were awarded a corner. Ye Feng Feng went to the cornerflag to take it. Miguel Ángel Ortiz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Miromir Szostak in the 26th minute of play. Miguel Ángel Ortiz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ye Feng Feng in the 27th minute of the match. 29 minutes into the match, FC Hackspett U21's Miromir Szostak sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Miguel Ángel Ortiz narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The supporters of FC Hackspett U21 booed when S.E.R. Caxias do Sul was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Carlos Alberto Magalhães didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ye Feng Feng recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 33rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Joachim Holmgren showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Caio Rosa in the 39th minute of the match. After 40 minutes, Shi Li Sha mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FC Hackspett U21 and the S.E.R. Caxias do Sul players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, FC Hackspett U21's Shi Li Sha got a free kick in the 40th minute. In the 41st minute of the match Kauã Vander sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Joachim Holmgren skillfully saved the ball. 48 minutes into the match, S.E.R. Caxias do Sul's goal looked a bit too open when Miromir Szostak came free, but Miguel Ángel Ortiz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Shi Li Sha to make the kick off. The audience was convinced that Shi Li Sha's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Miguel Ángel Ortiz was relentless in the 52nd minute of the game. FC Hackspett U21's attentive Luka Pirlo managed to snatch the ball when Ramiro de Lima made a throw-in in the 87th minute of the game. Miguel Ángel Ortiz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Miromir Szostak, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 88 minutes into the match, Miromir Szostak had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Miguel Ángel Ortiz. S.E.R. Caxias do Sul's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Miromir Szostak was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. If Luka Pirlo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Miguel Ángel Ortiz was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. There was no doubt that FC Hackspett U21 were the better team. FC Hackspett U21's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
