In the 28th minute Tarık Sehhar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Miguel Ángel Ortiz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When LOI's Tarık Sehhar in 34 game minutes managed to cut through with the ball in front of the goal, only having to shoot. Miguel Ángel Ortiz guarding the goal like a pit bull was extremely focused and managed to reach the ball just by the crossbar before it went in. The LOI fans' excitement grew in the 34th match minute when LOI's Tarık Sehhar looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-3 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Miguel Ángel Ortiz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tarık Sehhar, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. Miguel Ángel Ortiz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tarık Sehhar, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Rickard Thidén received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Miguel Ángel Ortiz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of S.E.R. Caxias do Sul booed when LOI was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Battal Gazi Rehber didn't get a good kick on the ball. After the first half LOI were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

This resulted in a 0-4 score and a disappointed Miguel Ángel Ortiz as he didn't even see the shot coming. After a rather tough play, S.E.R. Caxias do Sul's Soni Féron got a free kick in the 61st minute. Through an outstanding action, after 63 minutes, Miguel Ángel Ortiz successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. 65 minutes into the game, Rickard Thidén recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Miguel Ángel Ortiz. Rickard Thidén showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-5. Rickard Thidén's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Miguel Ángel Ortiz read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 69th minute of play. After a rather tough play, S.E.R. Caxias do Sul's Kauã Vander got a free kick in the 76th minute. S.E.R. Caxias do Sul's Miguel Ángel Ortiz proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 82nd minute of the match, managed to save S.E.R. Caxias do Sul from getting a goal against them. After 85 played minutes S.E.R. Caxias do Sul got a freekick which was hit by Ladislao Mazurkiewicz. Miguel Ángel Ortiz made an important save on a dangerous shot by Mustafa Barış Yarlık in the 91st minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 96th minute, Hikmet Şafakgün managed to get in a good position for a shot. LOI's supporters rose to their feet, but Hikmet Şafakgün was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Miguel Ángel Ortiz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The S.E.R. Caxias do Sul fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. LOI were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
