José Francisco Maffey made in the 3rd minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Sport Club Mavericks's Conrado Sanches. Talcampeón FC's Apolo Larrañaga played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Claudemiro Fragoso in the 5th minute of play. 10 minutes into the match, Sport Club Mavericks's goal looked a bit too open when Rainerio Huidobro came free, but Xande Gay reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 12 minutes had been played when some careless play by Sport Club Mavericks's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Alonso Pascal was slow to take the kick. During this time Talcampeón FC's players had a chance to rest. Deivid Fantini could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 15th minute of the match, but Apolo Larrañaga made a huge save. In the 16th minute Rainerio Huidobro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Xande Gay saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. José Francisco Maffey made in the 18th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Sport Club Mavericks's Jairo Bastos. In the 22nd minute of the game Jose Maria Letelier made a throw-in which José Francisco Maffey played forward. Sport Club Mavericks's Xande Gay played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tanio Lezaeta in the 23rd minute of play. In the 24th minute the ball was on its way in behind Talcampeón FC's goalkeeper Apolo Larrañaga, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 26 minutes into the game, Claudemiro Fragoso cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Apolo Larrañaga was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 30 minutes into the match, Sport Club Mavericks's Claudemiro Fragoso sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Apolo Larrañaga narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Deivid Fantini blasted a shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Apolo Larrañaga having to make a save. Claudemiro Fragoso received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Apolo Larrañaga came out and tried to block the shot, but Claudemiro Fragoso slotted it home off the left post making it 2-0 in the 34th minute. 38 minutes into the match, Sport Club Mavericks's Claudemiro Fragoso sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Apolo Larrañaga narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 40th minute, Alejandro Adrio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 44th minute, Deivid Fantini made a precise shot to the right of Apolo Larrañaga. Talcampeón FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-0. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Deivid Fantini was the one to do the kick off. When the match had gone on for 51 minutes, Claudemiro Fragoso put it in 4-0 from a short distance just to the right of Apolo Larrañaga. The Sport Club Mavericks fans' excitement grew in the 54th match minute when Sport Club Mavericks's Deivid Fantini looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 5-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 59th minute, Claudemiro Fragoso left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Sport Club Mavericks fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 6-0. Sport Club Mavericks's Sílvio Luiz de Godoi was substituted for Jairo Bastos. Sport Club Mavericks's Hélio Nascimento was substituted for Claudemiro Fragoso. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Hélio Nascimento in the 63rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Apolo Larrañaga saved Talcampeón FC from getting behind. Apolo Larrañaga didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Sport Club Mavericks's Elder Arantes shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 7-0 in the ordered_time% minute. Apolo Larrañaga didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Hélio Nascimento went, in the 72nd minute, to the upper right corner, 9-0 was the resulting score. In the 74th minute Elder Arantes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Apolo Larrañaga saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Elder Arantes took the ball and in the 77 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Apolo Larrañaga. Apolo Larrañaga dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 10-0. In the 82nd minute of the game Jose Maria Letelier made a throw-in which José Francisco Maffey played forward. Xande Gay made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tanio Lezaeta in the 85th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Sport Club Mavericks's Elder Arantes got a free kick in the 87th minute. After 89 minutes of play, Sport Club Mavericks's Hélio Nascimento made it 11-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Apolo Larrañaga was left in no man's land by his defense there! 92 minutes into the match, Hélio Nascimento had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Apolo Larrañaga. Talcampeón FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Hélio Nascimento was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 12-0. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Sport Club Mavericks fans cheered their team off the field, for while Talcampeón FC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
